Summary: One day in Mikado City, a "Gate" to another world suddenly opens. Monsters named "Neighbors" began to appear from this gate. At first the humans were overwhelmed when they discovered their weapons were useless against Neighbors, until a mysterious organization that could repel Neighbors's attacks appeared. This organization is known as the Defense Agency, or "Border", and has appropriated Neighbor technology as "Triggers", allowing the user to transmit Trion, the energy within himself, and use it as a weapon or for other purposes. By activating a Trigger, the user's body is replaced with a more powerful and more resilient fighting body made of trion. Border members are divided into three levels, A, B and C, only a few A-rank members possess special Triggers, with a strength comparable to Neighbors's Triggers.
